The Brief
There is no shortage of history and lore surrounding iconic L.A Artist Retna. If you have been to L.A, or listened to Justin Bieber, chances are you have seen a piece from this legendary artist.
The Approach
Arriving in the dark of night, Retna asked the team if we were ready for him to put his mark on the house, with an impromptu media session that ran into the early hours of the morning. No prep, no studio, just art. When someone like Retna is ready to create, you have no choice but to be ready as well. The world is a canvas, and this impromptu studio session with a world renowned artist proved just that.
In a matter of minutes, HYPR organised lighting, music, dual camera recordings for timelapses, and a photographer to capture every angle of this incredible moment. From Justin Bieber’s Purpose album, the walls of global hip hop super stars, and now, the Kirgo content mansion.
