How We Took Over Coachella Without a Booth
Brands pay six figures for a footprint at Coachella. We went undercover instead.
Brands pay six figures for a footprint at Coachella. A tent, a banner, a patch of ground people walk past on the way to the stage.
We didn’t buy any of that. We went undercover.
Our team walked the festival in branded merch, handing out stickers, inviting people to play, pulling festival-goers into vox pop interviews on the spot. The kind of content you’d shoot on the go anyway, except every frame was working for the brand. No booth, no barrier, no wristband gate between the brand and the crowd.
That’s the difference nobody prices in. A booth waits for people to come to it. A person in the crowd goes to them.
The footage fed back in real time. Real people, real reactions, the brand woven through a day they were already having. It didn’t look bought because it wasn’t staged. It was the festival, with our brand living inside it.
Six figures gets you a spot on the map. This got the brand into the feeds of people who never walked past a single tent.
Coachella is just the clearest example because the price tag is so public. The same playbook runs through any event where the culture already shows up. You don’t rent the moment. You put your people in the middle of it and make the content as it happens.
